The Hawthorne Caballeros are excited to present our 2013 Program, unRavel! Exploring the variant possibilities of the meaning of unravel, the Caballeros 2013 design team will explore the complexity of unraveling the great compositions of Ravel, pull apart the passionate original compositions of Key Poulan and Rob Ferguson, and untangle the mysterious in a search for the elegant simplicity of performance perfection.
Dear Future Caballero,
Thank you for your interest in the 2013 Hawthorne Caballeros brass ensemble. This year we are more committed than ever, to making your experience with the "Cabs" an educational and positive one. To that end, we have created placement exercises to help with our process of placing you on a part that will be challenging but achievable. These little technical excerpts will also help us to balance the entire brass ensemble. As you can well imagine, balance is key to our success. So these are not "Audition" pieces.

This year's Banquet will be held at the Grand Chalet on Route 23 in Wayne NJ 07470.
Cost for the evening is $35.00 per
person. That will include the dinner and wine, beer and soda. There
will also be a cash bar available.
Hawthorne Caballeros and Penn State Indoor Drumline Create Partnership
The Hawthorne Caballeros and the Penn State Indoor Drumline are proud to announce a partnership. This partnership will combine a world class and award winning staff and percussion teaching discipline that is shared between the Caballeros and PSID. For the members of both groups, the partnership will create multi-season training and performing opportunities for members of both organizations.
The Hawthorne Caballeros traveled to Lynn, Massachusetts on Saturday, July 21, 2012 to compete in the Mission Drums Senior Drum and Bugle Corps Competition. They won first place with a final score of 83.05. The Empire Statesmen from Rochester, NY came in second place followed by the Connecticut Hurricanes in third, Windsor Regiment from West Windsor, NJ in fourth and the Sunrisers from Pearl River, NY in fifth.
